When Diana's Grandmother (or Little Ma, as she calls her) called me to photograph her granddaughter's Sweet 16 party, I was sad to inform her that I didn't document events. Thankfully, I convinced her to find some time before the party to come in and have her formal portraits done in the studio. I think Diana's portraits were absolutely beautiful, so I wanted to share. It was nice to have a subject over the age of 10 for a change of pace......
Here is the lovely birthday girl.
Grandma's gift was her bouquet, which she wanted to look like a Miss America's bouquet of roses. It was fun to incorporate them into the portraits.
Here she shows off her jewelery, given to her by her grandparents and great grandparents.
And finally three generations in one portrait. Even though Mom and Little Ma were reluctant to participate, I'm sure this image will be an important keepsake for Diana in her future.
